Otowave 202 & 202-H
Handheld diagnostic tympanometers
The Otowave 202 and 202-H support fast, reliable middle ear testing across all age groups. Portable, accurate and easy to configure, they help clinicians adapt assessments to different patients, workflows and clinical requirements. While supporting confident decision-making at the point of care.
Designed for small ears
Designed for neonatal and paediatric testing, the device supports fast, accurate middle ear measurements in small ear canals. Its dedicated probe and configurable test settings help clinicians adapt testing to each patient. With diagnostic information displayed clearly during and after the automatic test.
Key features
- Designed for handheld and desktop use
- Mains and battery power functionality
- 226 Hz probe tone for reliable routine tympanometry
- Optional 1kHz probe tone (202-H option) with admittance, susceptance and conductance measurements (YBG)
- Live display for quick test and results review
- Enhanced Ipsilateral and contralateral reflex frequencies (0.5, 1, 2 and 4kHz)
- Enhanced reflex testing for greater diagnostic confidence
- Auto pass/refer evaluation for faster interpretation
- Fully customisable test protocol
- User selectable measurement speeds
- Internal memory, connection to portable printer and/or PC
Seamless data management
Test results can be stored, printed or transferred with ease, helping clinicians manage patient data more efficiently. With internal memory, portable printer connectivity, and Amplisuite software the Otowave 202 and 202-H support a smoother workflow from test to record.
The tympanometers also offers single-click integration to third-party Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, providing seamless data transfer and workflow efficiency. These include Auditbase, NOAH and OtoAccess®.
Portability
Lightweight and easy to move between locations, the Otowave 202 range supports reliable tympanometry wherever testing is needed. Weighing only 430g/ 0.9lbs with batteries, the devices are well suited to mobile clinics. Along with shared rooms and space-limited clinical environments.
Comprehensive testing
The Otowave 202 and 202-H give clinicians the flexibility to tailor testing to different patients and diagnostic needs. The Otowave 202 supports 226 Hz probe tone measurements, while the 202-H adds 1000 Hz tympanometry for newborn assessment. Along with configurable reflex testing and multiple display modes for detailed clinical review:
- Scalar mode: provides a familiar admittance tympanogram with Y-only compensation, helping clinicians review results quickly in a standard format
- Vector mode: displays B-G compensation, giving clinicians an additional view of middle ear function to support interpretation
- Component mode: separates admittance (Y), susceptance (B) and conductance (G) measurements, supporting more detailed clinical review when deeper analysis is needed
- Acoustic reflex testing: lets clinicians add user-defined ipsilateral and contralateral reflex measurements to the test sequence, helping tailor assessments to specific diagnostic needs
Both devices offer a user programmable range of both ipsi and contralateral reflex test measurements at 500Hz, 1kHz, 2kHz and 4kHz.
