Otowave 102-C
Handheld tympanometer with docking station
The Otowave 102-C is a portable tympanometer designed for fast, clear and easy middle-ear screening in busy clinical settings. Its custom docking station supports instrument charging and simple test data transfer between appointments.
Intuitive operation, live on-screen guidance and flexible data options help reduce consultation time. Supporting audiologists, ENT teams, paediatric clinicians, family practices and clinics working with children or other difficult-to-test patients.
Simple, guided testing
The Otowave 102-C displays real-time information before, during and after testing, helping users complete tympanometry and ipsilateral acoustic reflex measurements with confidence. A live tympanogram display supports quick assessment and can help identify conditions such as perforated eardrum, otitis media and cholesteatoma.
Key features
- Portable, handheld design for clinic-based or mobile use
- 226 Hz probe tone with fast, accurate middle-ear measurements
- Live tympanogram display on a large LCD screen
- Automatic pass/refer evaluation for efficient screening
- Programmable ipsilateral reflex tests with up to four frequencies
- Pressure range from -400 to +200 daPa
- Internal memory, optional portable printer and PC interface
- Integration with Amplisuite and compatible third-party EMR systems
- Multiple language options, including English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish and Russian
Efficient data management
Results can be printed immediately, stored in the device memory or transferred for further processing with Amplisuite software. The tympanometer also offers single-click integration to third-party Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as Auditbase, NOAH and OtoAccess®. This enables the seamless transfer of results and data, for exceptional workflow efficiency.
Fast and reliable results
Automatic pass/refer evaluation supports quick decision-making during tympanometry screening. This makes the Otowave 102-C well suited to paediatric assessments. It can also help identify possible middle-ear conditions, such as otitis media, often referred to as glue ear.
Clinic or mobile use
Weighing just 380g / 0.83lbs, the handheld design is easy to carry between rooms, clinics or off-site appointments. This gives clinicians the flexibility to deliver reliable tympanometry wherever testing is needed.
Flexible test configuration
A predefined user protocol supports quick setup, while customisable test sequences allow clinicians to adapt screening to individual patient needs. Ipsilateral acoustic reflex tests can be configured across up to four frequencies, with levels from 70 to 100 dB. They can also be set at a single level for screening purposes.
The -400 to +200 daPa pressure range supports screening for a range of middle-ear conditions. Pass/refer criteria can also be defined for acoustic reflex tests, with the tympanogram peak adjusted manually when required.
Ergonomic design
The balanced handheld design fits comfortably in the hand, helping clinicians carry out tests with control and accuracy. A large LCD screen and simple four-key layout make the testing process easy to follow, even in busy environments. The compact docking station takes up little space, making it practical for clinics with limited space.
Clear on-screen results
During testing, the live display shows key measurements including peak pressure (in daPa), peak volume (in ml), gradient and ear canal volume. These values are stored with each tympanometry session for review and reporting.
The compliance peak can be adjusted within the tympanogram if needed, allowing the pass/refer outcome to be refined. Acoustic reflex results are presented in clear, frequency-specific graphs with pass/refer evaluation.
